Is there a list in set up somewhere that shows all of the available merge fields?

 Is there a list in set up somewhere that shows all of the available merge fields?  I am having trouble setting them up in my email templates.

 

Also does anyone know if you can send a PDF using mail merge?

    I don't know about a list, but I know that all possible fields are listed in the dropdown menus in the Email Template designer.  Is there a particular field that you are looking for, but can't find?  For example, the link to the object's record is actually the field "Detail Link".
