We use Eloqua.  We are having an issue where we convert a lead and add them as a contact at the account level but don't add them in the opportunity as a "Contact Role" as they may not be a key driver in the sales process.  I am being told that in order for the lead not to be recreated or reopen (based on lead scoring) the following day is that they have to be in the opportunity as a "contact role".  Is this true?

    Hey Michelle,

     

    Definitely not true!

     

    Your Eloqua administrators can change their workflows to not require a contact role!  They may be right that it's currently implemented that way, but this requirement is definitely changeable.  In fact, most orgs do not require a contact role in these scenarios.
