Hey Gerald,
By the sounds of it, you are referring to a cross filter in the report builder. Basically how the filter works is that it checks all of the accounts in the listing to see whether or not there is an opportunity associated with that account. This report will show you a one sided relationship, ie. it will only show you one record even if there are multiple opportunities associated with that account. If you wanted to see every opportunity you can do the following:
If you were to run a report on the opportunities object, you would only get opportunities that have accounts associated with them because they are on the detail side of the master-detail relationship that exists between the two, ie. you cannot have an opportunity w/o first having an account associated with that opportunity.
Here's the cross filter and how you should set it up. Please note that I have renamed our opportunities object to Jobsites so they are essentially the same thing!
