Looking up inbound leads against list of important companies?

We have a list of important companies. If an inbound lead is one of these companies, we want it to be flagged.

 

What would be the best way to look up a list and see if the lead is one of those companies? 

 

I could make a formula field, but those have 5,000 character limits.

    That's not what I meant. The lead wouldn't be a dupe.

     

    I just want a field in Salesforce to say 'High Priority' if the lead is one of the important accounts.
