Implementing multi currency in the live org, what happens to existing opportunities?

Question

We want to implement multi currency in our live org, where the currency is currently GBP. We have lots of opportunities already created that we would like to switch to USD, what's the best way to handle this?

I believe these are the steps we will need to take:

Activate multi currency in Live org
Add in new USD standard prices and price books
Delete all the products from the opportunities we want to change
Change the price book on those opps to the USD book
Add the new USD products to the opps

Is this correct?
