We use email-to-case functionality.  In our Email-to-Case Settings (within Setup) we have the checkbox selected for "Save email-to-case attachments as Salesforce Files".  Our "Automated Case User" in our support settings is an admin user that we have setup for all integrations so that shows as the user who creates all the inbound email cases and also shows as the owner for all files attached to the email messages inbound.

Lately, when our customer service group receives a case from a customer and tries to forward one of the emails on the case or reply back to the customer from which the email came, using the Feed view, AND try to delete any of the attachments (say the LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc icons from the signature) the draft email fails to save giving an error.  Also, if they click Send it returns error "Insufficient access rights on object ID".  It only happens if they try to delete one of the attachments/files from the email message.

Users getting error

Any suggestions of what to try?

    Hi Karla,

Check the profile or permission set, if CRED permissions are enabled via the Documents object

    1. Go to Setup | Manage Users | Profiles (Look for the profile in question).

    2. Go to Documents object check if Create, Read, Edit , Delete is enabled.

Note:  If "Enhanced Profile User Interface" is enabled, you can see the Document permissions under "Object Settings"

    Regards,
