Can I assign a task to a queue?

We want to assign a Task to a queue of people - the one member of the queue will take the Tast similar to how a queue works with a Case Creation.

I tried to do this by creating a separate Role however that creates a task for each Role member .. not what we want.

Has anyone done this? Looking for suggestions.
