I have set up the Email templates for my Org to default to HTML - however, I have copied the content into the text field. My question now is, is it possible that Salesforce pushes the text version of this template if the recipient cannot read HTML?
if that's the case, how can a user, whilst amending some parts of the HTML template, be in control over the contents of the text version?

I'm fairly certain the text version of the email would be blank. This would be pretty easy to test. I don't see an Idea out there (didn't dig real hard either). You could do your own search and add. Post here and I'll promote it too.
