As you make changes and hopefully improve your application how do you update your existing client orgs with these "improvements"?
I am familiar with the Sandbox concept and was wondering if you can create change sets in your development org that can then to deployed to your client's sandbox or production org's?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Change sets can only be used for linked environments. If you wanted to move data between unrelated orgs you would need to use the Force.com IDE and a migration tool like Eclipse.
