Move contents of preferred email to personal email

Hi, I have an external application that pulls data out of salesforce for email campaigns, it only grabs accounts with email addresses in the 'Personal email' field, I have a mix with a few hundred with email addresses in the 'preffered email' address field so it's not picking them up...

 

Can I mass MOVE from one to the other?

    Yes, you can move them around with tools like the Data Loader or DemandTools, however, the best practice is to use the standard Salesforce Email field.

    Assuming that you are using the NPSP, the preferred email and phone filed automatically update the standard email and phone fileds (they are not visible on your page layout).
