I have a Salesforce field called "Country" that I would like to map to Outlook field that has data in it.  Currently, "Country" is blank for all Contact records.  When I run the sync, all the outlook fields updated to be blank.  I want the exact opposite to happen.  I want whatever is populated in the outlook field to update the "Country" field in Salesforce for this initial sync up, and then sync both ways moving forward after that.  Currently, it appears that the "sync both ways" option takes the record that was most recently updated and applies that to the sync.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What object are you trying to hook into? Currently the sync only works for Contacts. You can determine what happens when there is a conflict (Salesforce or Outlook wins) in your Salesforce for Outlook profile setup. Setup>Administration Setup>Desktop Administration>Outlook Configurations.
