Disable Dropdown on User Lookup

Question

Hi All,

When I add a Lookup field to the uSer table, I also get a dropdown for selecting User, Customer portal and Partner Portal. Is there a way to remove that dropdown and simply default to User?

Hi Steve, there is no way to remove the dropdown.  The filter Shiv suggested will allow you to choose which users show up, but not disable that dropdown, that is standard and cannot be removed.

You will have to create a VF alternative to this   As far as I know- if you have a Partner Portal or Customer Portal enabled in your Org - then those option(s) will display. There is no way to remove them short of disabling your Portal.   if our suggestion(s) worked,  let us know by marking the answer as "Best Answer" right under the comment.This will help the rest of the community should they have a similar issue in the future.  Thank you!   Shiv
