We are using standard SFA beginning with Lead Conversion creating an associated Opportunity and Account. When the Opportunity is set to Closed Won, how can I reassign the Opportunity and Account Ownership to a Queue? The idea is a group of queue members will then manually reassign the Closed Opportunity to an Account Manager.
Thanks!

Hey Steve,
Your requirements are pretty common in the industry - here's how most companies solve it:
1. When an opportunity is changed to Closed Won, most details of the opportunity are frozen and the opportunity owner is not changed. This allows you to run reports in the future, for example, on how much revenue each sales rep (opportunity owner) closed in a given time period.
2. The account standard field "Type" is changed to "Customer", or some similar value. This can be accomplished using a workflow.
3. There are multiple ways to associate the account to the correct account manager, depending on your business needs:
- You can use the Account Teams feature and add an account manager role to the account's team. This allows multiple people to "own" different aspects of the account and makes it very easy for each person to report on their "owned" accounts:

- You can manually assign the account to a specific account manager. Some companies create new fields to do this, but you can also use the standard owner field as well. You might also flag the account as a newly closed account or assign it to a dedicated employee that will route to the correct account manager. This employee will be able to run a report or create a list view to see accounts that he/she needs to route.
Hope this helps Steve, and if so, please mark it so the community can benefit! Thanks!
