Hi

Instead of using Territory Management, would it be possible to set up a workflow or a formula to change Account Owner field per Record Type?

Example:

Record Type A : If country is A,B,C = New owner will be John

Record Type A : If country is X,Y,Z = New owner will be Mark

Record Type B : If street is A, B C = New owner will be Mia

Record Type B : If street is X,Y,Z = New owner will be Karen

One Workflow per Record Type.

However, how would I set it up criteria/formula wise?

Or would I really need a separate workflow per new Owner ?

Thank you!

There's no way to do 'sub' criteria like that within a field update for account owner.  If the ONLY criteria were the record tyoe, then you could do it by record type, but since the criteria is more complex then thsat, you need to include it in your workflow rule criteria.

For workflow actions, you can only set the owner to a single person.  You cant add sub-criteria to the field update.  Since you can only add a single person in a workflow action, you need a seperate rule for each person that needs to have an account assigned to them.
