Why can we not use Full Name in Views to filter data

When creating Calendar or Opportunity list views there is an option to filter by Full Name or Owner Full Name however it does not appear to show any results. Can someone help?

i am not sure I think Owner.FullName is a formula field

it is a combination of first name and lastname..thats why the reason it will not show any result
