Under Setup>Activities>Activities Setting: The box is checked for both Enable Creation of recurring task and event.
I also went to the Task Layout page and field under settings and did not see it listed there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not know where else to look.

Hi David, I have figured things out, thanks for your reply though.
What happened was, I was an ACT user and just switched over to SF. The existing task from ACT that were imported did not show the Recurrence section. If I create a new task from scratch the recurrence section shows up.
So I just erase the "ACT" task and recreate it from scratch in SF and everything is working.
Not sure why it is doing that but at least I can get it working now.
