I can't see where/why this is not working for me. This is not about the standard reports that come with Salesforce. I want to remove the access to all custom folders, but give access to reports on an as needed basis.
We have roles and profiles.
Role - Manager
Role - Sales Rep
In the folders I have hidden access to all besides Role - Manager.
But when I login to a Role - Sales rep they can see the reports still.
I see under the profile that is attached to the same users under Sales Rep role, that you can turn off certain report settings. Is this where it should be done? By removing "Run Reports" it's removing access to all reports though.
What am I doing wrong?

What Profile(s) are these users assigned to? Custom or standard? If they are custom, do they have the "View All Data" and/or the "Modify All Data" permissions?
