All of a sudden, without making any changes to my report or dashboard the pictures are not showing anymore. Support says it has to reference a user field, I changed the report to created by and it still doesn't show the pictures. I don't understand why it was visible before and now it's not?
Do I have to create a custom field that pulls from the user id just to get chatter pictures to show up on the dashboard? It doesn't make sense.

If you edit the dashboard and the then component (using the wrench icon) is the check box "Show Chatter Photos" checked?
