I am a first time user of SalesForce. I am really confussed. When I click on Organizations to show a list of all. There are contacts listed there as well. Why? How do I elminate this?

Can you open one of the records and see; Where it came from? Who created it? How it was created? Some possible culprits might be:
- Your SFDC Org has Web to Lead enabled
- Your users have the MS-Outlook Connector installed
- Someone just uploaded a bunch of Account and Contacts
If you are using any of those and the field mapping is incorrect that could be the cause of it.
