How can you update a field in one object from a similar field in another object?

Question

We're just getting data cleaned up from conversion. I need to export all the Acknowledgement field entries in one object to the Journal Acknowledged field in another object.

Is there any way to do this with Data Loader? I'm getting stuck on the 2 object part.

If not, do you have other free and easy suggestions?

If there's a lookup relationship from one object to the second object, you might be able to create a cross object formula field.  A Journal Acknowledged formula field would show the value of the Acknowledgement field.   Aiden
