Zero Dollar line item not appearing on CPQ Quote

I have a situation where an associate has given a full discount to a product - it shows on the line item editor but when you generate a quote it does not appear.

 

I need the item to show so the customer is aware they are getting the product but they are just not paying for it.  

 

Not sure if it matters, we do not use the discount fields because we do everything on the monthly revenue and the discount fields are taking into account the entire life of the contract.  That is not how we report.  

 

I know that CPQ won't create a subscription for a zero value so I am guessing that is the issue - not sure how I can work around this.   Any ideas or thoughts?

    Hi Angela - 

     

    There's a field on the Product labeled "Hidden".  Do you know if this is checked as True on the product you're referring to?  This field will hide the product from appearing on the Quote PDF.
