Why can't we delete reports via the Dataloader?

Why can't we delete reports via the Dataloader? We are trying to clean up reports and I can create a report of reports to delete but then cannot use the Dataloader to delete them. I do not want to try to use Eclipse for this since I am just learning how to use Eclipse.

    I completely understand. Make sure you do a test delete with a test report you create before you make it happen.

     

    I would also recommend seeing if there is an existing idea to delete them via Data Loader. I didn't really find one. If you do, post the link back here.
