Hi Pardot friends,
I'm running into a problem with a form handler and while I believe I'm following all the steps, it's still not functioning properly.
A client has a FormAssembly form that is a volunteer application with a ton of fields. We only want to capture First Name, Last Name, Email, and Zip Code with the form handler. I haven't created a lot of form handlers so I wanted to do some testing to make sure I understand the behaviors. I created a FormAssembly form with four fields and embedded it on a webpage. I also created another page with a link to the form page in case I needed a "referring URL." I have mapped the fields, embedded the form handler code, changed the "POST" URL to form handler endpoint URL, enabled data forwarding (I have also tested without this enabled), have success and error locations set to "referring URL," and have enabled the "https" connector.
The FormAssembly form has a URL redirect as the success location. However, when I submit the form, instead of sending me to the URL specified in FormAssembly, it is just sending me back to the blank form. The prospect is created in Pardot but no response is recorded in FormAssembly.
It seems like it is basically bypassing FormAssembly since it is not using the success URL nor recording the response. I've been staring at it so long that my mind is mush. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you, Laura! I'm going to try your suggestions out today. You are so helpful on this board!
