Hi all,
Question about launching Engagement Studios based off of form handlers. We have a form handler on our blog subscription page on our website for prospects to sign up to receive a monthly blog. Those who fill out the form will be added to a list in Pardot, and that list is being used in an ongoing Engagement Studio. We have it set to where when someone completes the form the Engagement Studio will trigger an autoresponder email of the latest blog email immediately (one of the completion actions on the form handler). I've used this method before at a previous organization, and it worked great.
While those who should be suppressed ARE being suppressed on the lists we have under the suppression section, there are a few contacts valid contacts whose records show they filled out the form handler but did not receive the autoresponder email as planned. I looked on several prospects' profile pages and saw in the activities where they completed the form handler, but the autoresponder email never sent. Any suggestions?
Also, We sent our November blog email and are finalizing our December blog newsletter. We had some soft and hard bounces on our first send in November which negatively impacted our metrics. I don't want this to happen again, so should I set parameters in the current recipient list to filter out any bounces so no attempts are made again, but doesn't Pardot do this for you?
Thanks in advance!
Look to see the "valid contacts" and see if they had previous bounces, the email addresses are spelled correctly with no strange characters etc.
One option:
You could remove it from being a completion action and then create an automation rule that runs in real time. This could help a more uniform response.
For your second question. If a record previously bounced or unsubscribe, Pardot won't email them again. In essence your first send "cleaned" the list. You'll still have bounces but not as many.
