Hi Everybody I have a problem...
We use Pardot with Salesforce and we are investigating the possibility to use Pardot forms or Form Handler.
The problem we have is this:
1st time the customer comes in and ask some questions you will have him created in Pardot and synched to Starforce in the lead table you then qualify the lead and it goes from there to either just a account-contact or with an opportunity attached (So far so good)
2nd time the customer comes to the website because he has another question, this comes in Pardot via the form handler or via the direct form but it will not generate a Lead in salesforce because it finds the contact in salesforce.
How do you go about and make sure you do have a lead create every time you have a contact form filled in by a KNOWN person?
That's not the way Pardot works. Once the prospect is a contact, it will never create a new lead for the same prospect record, because that record syncs to one and only one object in Salesforce, a lead or a contact. If the person comes through the form a second time and is now a contact, I recommend you have a completion action of create a salesforce task that says "So and so filled out this form, please follow up". Then, if the person is a contact, the owner will get a task to follow up, even though there is no lead.
