Hi everyone,
Issue:
I am trying to create a campaign in Salesforce with 50 contacts (example) which I want to sync with the Pardot application so that these contacts can be converted into 'Prospects' and used in a Pardot List.
However, following the syncronising process, only 40 contacts are pulling through to the Pardot system, leaving 10 contacts outstanding. The problem is that I know these contacts are in the Salesforce campaign but not all of them show in Pardot.
Factors to Consider:
We have previously created numerous campaigns in the past and some contacts are present in a number of different campaigns with the same email address, In the event where those contacts have not responded to marketing communications, we have placed exclusions on those prospects which flags them as 'Dead' or 'Inactive'. These tags on the Pardot prospect are there for us to filter out cold leads or inactive prospects.
When it comes to creating a new campaign, using contacts where some are part of the 'Dead'/'Inactive' list, we have noticed that they are not showing in the Pardot campaign due to this 'Inactive' tag list. After we have removed the tags on those contacts, those contacts then appear in the campaign.
Should I enable Multiple prospects with the same email address?
There is a functionality within Pardot that will enable multiple prospects being added to Pardot with the same email address. The current configuration only allows one instance of prospect per email address (to prevent duplicate emails being sent). Pardot warns that enabling 'Multiple Prospects with the Same Email Address' cannot be reversed once it has been enabled. I wouldn;t want to enable this if it ends up going horribly wrong yet I feel like this could be the asnwer to my problem.
Does anyone know Pardot well enough to help me with my issue?
Thank you!
