Hi All,

The document in this link (https://resources.docs.salesforce.com/218/latest/en-us/sfdc/pdf/salesforce_platform_encryption_implementation_guide.pdf) has a table on page 71 that shows the differences between Classic Encryption and Shield Encryption.

Specifically, the document states that "Classic encryption lets you protect only a special type of custom text field, which you create for that purpose."

However, later in the table, there is a check on the table for Classic Encryption that indicates that it has Encrtyption at Rest.

In Classic Encryption, does Encryption at Rest ONLY apply to the "special type of custom test field, which you create for that purpose?"

Please let me know.

Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place, I am still finding my way around here :)

Thanks Mike. EDIT: Just saw your Salesforce tag. Thanks for the info.

I think it would be helpful to update that table that I referenced, as it is too easy to assume that the check applies to the entire platform.
