I have been confronted with an "issue" in regards to the Lightning in-app notifications.

There is some unclarity about what kinds of notifications are received under the notification bell.

The expectation is that all posts are received at least whenever a user is following another user every post of the user the bell will ring.

Is that true?

Are there any differences in using Mac or Windows PC? Someone claimed that with Macbook the bell rings for everything.

My investigations tell that the bell rings for any posts of a group where I am a member of, posts addressed to me, comments on my post, posts on my profile, events, approvals
