My best Lightning tips are below:

• Monitor the Lightning Usage App - it will give you a very good insight on active users, switches between Classic and Lightning, browser performance, etc.   
• Check the Lightning Road Map periodically: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=lex_roadmap.htm&type=5.  You maybe waiting on features to move to Lightning.
• Read the Release Notes for the features that actually moved over.
