I went to TrailheaDX this Spring and I really enjoyed it. I also got two exam certifications included with my ticket.

As for travel to SF, I can add a couple tips. (1) There is a BART train to/from SFO, and it's cheaper than taxi, etc. (2) Consider staying in Oakland city center; check out the Marriott which is right by a BART station. You can BART from there to/from downtown San Francisco in about 10 min. It's a nice train, btw. I expect the rates for Oakland hotels to be much better than SF.
