It looks like list emails replaces mass emails in classic. Does the list email function automatically remove contacts with the email opt out flag checked?

It looks like that's the case. I just tried it out in my demo environment, and when I go to a Case and try to send an email to someone with the opt out flag checked, I don't see a warning.
