Hi ! Salesforce Files Sync is not available in Lightning and does not seem to be part of the roadmap for future Lightning developments. Sync is a key feature for our company, we use it to make sure everyone is aligned with Sales Material contents, and those are automatically updated on their PC for offline use. Not having such feature is truly holding us from switching to Lightning (with a couple of other features, which we can see in the roadmap though).
What is Salesforce plan for Files Sync ? Will they develop the feature in Lightning or some sort of alternative ?

Salesforce Files Sync is a desktop agent to sync from desktop to Salesforce and this does not depends on the UI, whether is Classic or Lightning
But, to sync from Salesforce to desktop, user need to manually select file to sync, this option is not available in Lightning UI yet, but for the files sync from desktop will appear in Lightning Files tab at left menu as Synced
