Wanted to check out if anyone has any tips or tricks for preventing Engage emails from going straight to the Promotions folder for Gmail users and landing in the Primary inbox instead? :-)

If you send to 10 or fewer at a time you could remove the unsub/preferences/view in browser links and potentially avoid getting sent to promotions that way.
