Is it possible to disallow users of a certain profile or license type from being selected for role assignment on a Work item?

For example, my company has a relatively large community and we would never assign Work to any community user. Showing the community users in the list for possible assignment just clutters the list and gives an opportunity for incorrect assignment. The community user profile doesn't have access to the Agile Accelerator per page 30 of the Getting Started Guide.
