#IdeaExchange Reimagined #True To The Core

Flagging up a really key UX suggestion that has been sitting in the IdeaExchange for 3 years now without even a single comment from a Salesforce product manager. Whatever happened to all of those process changes and transparencies promised by the IdeaExchange Reimagined program?

⚡️⚡️⚡️New Lightning Roadmap Now Available⚡️⚡️⚡️

Winter '21 release is almost here! Check out the Lightning Experience Roadmap to discover what cool Sales, Service, Platform, and Mobile features we have in store and what to expect in future releases:

Some new features in this release include:

  • In-App Guidance: Theming
    • Make your in-app guidance contrast or complement your org’s theme color and branding. Choose from a color palette based on your org’s theme to see how Salesforce makes your in-app guidance pop.
  • Activity Timeline on Mobile
    • The activity timeline is now available in the Salesforce mobile app for leads, opportunities, accounts, and contacts. On these record types, iOS users can view all of the tasks, events, and emails associated with a record in one convenient feed. Previously, admins had to create a related list with the activity history view to track activities in the mobile app.
  • Mobile Launchpad
    • Set up a mobile launchpad to let users quickly access the information they need. Use the Launchpad Lightning web component to add links to Lightning pages on mobile and desktop. Internal links open in the Salesforce mobile app, while external links open in a mobile browser window.

Just to name a few...

  1. What's the most useful part of the PDF or Help topic roadmap?
  2. Do you use both the PDF and Help topic? If no, why not? If yes, do you use them for different reasons?

The full version of the Lightning Experience Roadmap has also been updated for the Winter '21 release. It's available from the Help & Training portal: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=lex_roadmap.htm

The most useful part of the PDF is the clear color coding on what is to be expected and what is not slated yet. The help topic has the detail for what is slated for the next release. I use both: the PDF to get an initial idea across major areas (and because it is easier to read) and then the help topic for items specific to release.

@Zaman Rashid tags are not auto-converted to topics, but you may be able to find a third-party tool that can perform this type of tool by searching the AppExchange and/or Google.

Hi we're trying to figure out how to convert to lightnining without having to spend the large amount of money that we're being quoted by developers (20K plus for a small company like us is a bit rediculous). Please HELP! we added in premier support but any ticket i open i'm being told it's custom code and not supported by SF support.

How Users can personalize their own home page?

@Macy Waterbury Elements of the home page can be effectively personalized if you for example have components that show data belonging to that user, such as "my activities", "my leads" "my pipeline" etc. One useful thing users can personalize is their tabs across the top in a Lightning App. You can create a "My Lightning" app which has a minimal number of pre-set tabs, so that they can then choose what tabs they want to add and in what order. Tabs that are included in a app by the admin cannot be removed, but they can be re-ordered.

Probably you need to open a related record and start adding macros
