On my survey welcome page I have a couple of short paragraphs (word count of 504 and 597 with spaces according to Word). When I go to save it in surveys, I get two red errors "Correct the errors in the highlighted pages, then save or activate the survey" at the top of the page. I get another error on the page "Enter up to 1,000 characters.". Yes, I can reduce the character count and it will save, but I do have way less than 1000 characters. Any other suggested solutions?

If you click on the little i box, you get this message:
The character count includes rich text formatting and merge fields. Behind the scenes, formatting and merge fields count against the number of available characters.
Try removing all formatting from your paragraphs. If this saves, add formatting back slowly, saving often to see what you can get away with.

You need to use the layoutColumns property on contactLayoutSection to assign columns to contactColumns.
Please change line 16 and 17 to:
List<Metadata.LayoutColumn> contactColumns = contactLayoutSection.layoutColumns ;
List<Metadata.LayoutItem> contactLayoutItems = contactColumns.get(0).layoutItems ;
Hello,
I see errors in one of my automations but I have no details about the errors. I found a reference in the documentation to an action log tab (https://dreamevent.secure.force.com/articleView?id=mc_as_find_activity_configuration_and_error_details.htm&type=5) but all I see is the overview (appended). How do I find out where these errors are coming from? Thanks!

At the bottom left of your image you can see a place to enter an email address for when the automation errors or is skipped. Put your email in there and you will get a specific error message if it fails again.
Note that the error reporting can be pretty poor but at least you will get some indication of what is going on.
Hello, I have an issue with a form where some people are registering but they are not being added to the registration list or receiving the registration confirmation email (the assigned completion actions). I looked at the form report and it shows that there are 84 errors, but I am unable to view the errors. Do you know where I can view the errors? Or what could be the issue in general? Thanks in advance!

Looks like we caught one of the Seven Dwarfs, Doc, through an Oracle SfdcSql-exception. This seems to be occurring when a mass email is sent out. Has anyone had this issue occur before?
Here is the status: ORACLE_ROW_LOCKED_ACTIVITY_NOT_SAVED
Here is the error message: common.exception.SfdcSqlException: ORA-30006: resource busy; acquire with WAIT timeout expired ORA-06512: at "DOC.ROWLOCK"

I have 21% errors on my form submissions. Is there a way to find out what is causing this? Is there a way to see what the error is?

Hi @John Brennan Have you enabled the option "Always display even if previously completed" on all your required form fields??
It might be on the reasons for huge error rates.
Pardot doesn't provide any such functionality stating the cause for the error. So we should troubleshoot it manually.

Hi All,
I like to hear your ideas and experience of managing exception reporting in Tableau (or outside of Tableau). What works best/doesn't work to get users to take action on issues that need resolving.
I'm using product data, and have many (c30) exception types (missing price, missing image etc etc) all that will have owners that need to resolve the issues.
My thoughts are:
- Barchart vis showing ⌗errors and ⌗parts in error by owner with drill down capabilities to the part level where owners can export the list and resolve.
Pros - no maintenance on my side
- visibility of where the errors lie to all interested parties
Cons - Reliant on owners to view the report and take action
- Stick with Excel and send frequent exception reports directly to owners with a request to resolve
Pros - directly requesting action from owners
Cons - I have to manually run the reports and email out

I would suggest to be most effective, you may want multiple 'data hygiene' type reports that just target specific areas eg product errors that product managers care about, financial errors that your finance guys care about.
They don't need to be overly visual - if there's data in the report, then there's an issue and if you're looking for a call to action, the most useful thing to see is what the issue is (ie the detail).
I have created several hygiene reports and there are people in the business who care about the data being clean to ensure their reporting is accurate, so they subscribe to the reports (as do I) and deal with issues if they're presented. By subscribing they get an email daily and if it shows no issue, its simply deleted; if there's data then the report is accessed from the email and further details understood.
If your users care about the accuracy of the data they're reporting, then they should care enough to want to be alerted to errors in the data, so should be happy to subscribe. In Tableau 10 you will have the ability to subscribe others to reports.
Here's a couple of examples of data hygiene reports I use
The above lands in my inbox daily, if there's a red cross in any of the tables I know the data is out of date and I alert someone to investigate, otherwise I just delete.
I use the below to keep an eye on who has a Desktop Licence that is now leaving so I can arrange to get the licence deactivated before they go so it can be reused with no issue. Its just a list - today it's empty so again I just delete the mail, otherwise it'll just have a list of names.
