Important Retirement: Salesforce Optimizer App starting Winter '26Important Retirement: Salesforce Optimizer App starting Winter '26What's happening? Salesforce is retiring the Optimizer app with the Winter ’26 release for all organizations on Hyperforce.

What's happening?

Salesforce is retiring the Optimizer app with the Winter ’26 release for all organizations on Hyperforce. Non-Hyperforce organizations will lose access to all features except the Hard Coded URL detection feature, as that's important for an organization's migration. The Optimizer app won't be accessible to non-Hyperforce orgs with the Summer ‘26 release.

When will this happen?

The Optimizer app is retired in the Winter ’26 release for organizations on Hyperforce. All other organizations will lose access to the Optimizer app in the Summer ‘26 release. For details of the release timeframe, including dates when your org instances will be upgraded, see Admin Release Countdown: Get Ready for Winter ’26

What does this change mean for me?

Users can’t access Salesforce Optimizer in orgs created after August 4, 2025. Users can continue to use Salesforce Optimizer in orgs created before August 4, 2025, and until the org is upgraded to Winter ’26. The Optimizer app will no longer be available or accessible after Winter ‘26 is released to all customer instances on Hyperforce. The Hard Coded URL report (a small feature within Optimizer) will remain available on non-Hyperforce orgs.

How do I know if my org is on Hyperforce?

Check for the instance name by Viewing instance information for your Salesforce Organization and then check if the instance is on a Hyperforce infrastructure as noted in Where is my Salesforce instance located article.  The Find My Instance

map contains symbols and information that'll designate "Non-Hyperforce" or "Hyperforce" when the Instance name is entered.

How do I identify affected users?

The Optimizer app isn't enabled by default for all orgs. You can check its status by navigating to Setup | Optimizer.

If you have any questions, open a case with support via Salesforce Help or contact your Salesforce account team. To view all current and past retirements, see Salesforce Product & Feature Retirements

With the Spring ‘21 release, you can get insights into your users’ login process in two ways.

  • The new Login Metrics tab in the Lightning Usage App provides login data for your org’s MFA and Single Sign-On (SSO)

  • MFA metrics are now included in the Salesforce Optimizer App, which will help you track the users who aren’t logging in with MFA.

Hello All!

I have a question around the Salesforce Optimizer report.

We have a number of reports that are "never" viewed and either "never" run or haven't been run for 1+ year.

I was hoping to verify that that is also checking to ensure that those reports are not called by actively used dashboards.

Appreciate any help,

Thanks!

Frances

@Frances Day Never viewed or Run does NOT check if it has been viewed through a dashboard. So to make sure if a report it truly used or not make sure if it's part of dashboard and that dashboard is showing has recently viewed or not. I hope this helps

Hi Everyone,

We are thrilled to announce the release of Salesforce Optimizer App through Salesforce Labs. As you know Salesforce Optimizer currently provides recommendations through a PDF report. With this release the same recommendations are now be available as an app with an interactive interface, making it easier to drive maintenance, adoption, and productivity.

In the first phase, we released the Salesforce Optimizer App (Beta) through Salesforce Labs on the AppExchange on July 19th, 2019. Later this year, the app will be generally available as a Lightning app in all orgs. The Optimizer PDF report isn’t going away and you can continue to use it as before.

How do I install the app package?

Go to the AppExchange listing for Salesforce Optimizer App (Beta). Follow the instructions in the attached installation guide.

What’s the Salesforce Optimizer?

Optimizer scans the org for over 50 metrics to provide personalized and actionable recommendations in the form of a PDF report. Read more on Salesforce Help.

How do I provide feedback?

Please post feedback and comments in the Salesforce Optimizer Trailblazer community https://success.salesforce.com/_ui/core/chatter/groups/GroupProfilePage?g=0F93A00000024c1

There’s also a feedback widget in the app that can be used to provide feedback directly from the tool

What’s the timeline?

Salesforce Optimizer Launch Plan Overview
