Monitor Usage Using Wallets

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Convert a quote into an order and edit it.
  • Review the information displayed in wallets.

Explore the Wallets Dashboard

You have set up an account as the grant binding target. When assets are created during order execution, the usage entitlements are associated with the target specified, in this case, the account.

When you bind a grant target, Agentforce Revenue Management automatically creates a wallet for it. The Wallets dashboard shows, for each wallet, how much was granted, how much has been consumed, and how much remains—giving billing operations teams a clear, human-readable view of usage entitlements without digging through raw consumption logs.

The wallets dashboard.

The grant binding target controls where wallets appear on the dashboard, so teams only see the wallets relevant to their scope.

This visibility pays off in a few concrete ways.

  • Proactively catch overages in real time, before the invoice runs—instead of discovering them at the end of a billing cycle.
  • Spot accounts nearing their entitlement limit and take action before consumption spikes into an overage.
  • Give billing operations teams a single, trustworthy source of truth for entitlement balances, cutting down on manual reconciliation.

Since the grant binding target is an account here, all wallets are displayed at the account level. The Wallets dashboard flags accounts where consumption has exceeded the granted entitlement.

The Wallets dashboard is the operational control tower for usage-based billing. Without it, managing consumption across various customers' accounts will be a challenging task.

In this unit, you turn your existing quote into an active order and then check out the Wallets dashboard. Follow along with Liam.

Review the Wallets Dashboard

Now, let’s explore wallets. We won’t check for these steps in the challenge section. Wallets are automatically created and display the entitlements for the assets.

Note

Your DE org already has the Wallet component added to the Account page. For more information on how to add Wallet components to record pages, check out Add Wallet Components to Record Pages.

On the EdgeMX account page, click the Wallet tab.

EdgeMX wallets dashboard.

The Wallets dashboard lists the available wallets associated with the account. Here, you see the wallets available for the account EdgeMX. Each usage resource or asset that belongs to this account has a corresponding wallet and displays both included grants and consumed amounts side by side along with remaining balance. For example, the AI Credits usage resource shows the grant allocated as 1,000 credits, the consumed amount as zero, and Total Balance as 1,000 credits.

Next, click View Details in the AI Credits wallet.

Wallet Details page.

The wallet details page displays additional information about the wallet, such as Usage Resource, Bucket Balance, Unit of Measure, Consumed Entitlement, Completed Rollovers, and the effective start and end date for the usage resource.

The Related tab displays the Usage Entitlement Buckets associated with this usage resource.

Switch back to the EdgeMX Account tab and then, click the Usage Rates tab.

Usage Grants and Rates for the Account.

The usage grants and rates for each usage resource is displayed.
