When user log emails from outlook to salesforce, in the side panel, and under People section, there is option to select salesforce user record. Where can i find that logged email on salesforce ? I did search under the user account, but didn't see any new created activity or logged email.

Note : Enhanced Email is turned on.

Log email to salesforce user

Thanks.

Is it possible to customize this web page (screenshot) when scheduling a meeting via SF Inbox? Ideally we'd like to change the background, add company logo, etc.

When I create an event in the Gmail/Google calendar, we have EAC set up to push that event to Salesforce. After the initial sync, if I go to that Google Calendar event, I see that I can "Edit Related Records" and if I select that, I see this:Update the EAC Calendar Event fields shown? It looks like the event type is editable; I would like to be able to edit more fields from here, but I cannot find any lightning page layout or anything else that would seemingly let me customize the fields shown here.

For my actual use case, I want to be able to set the Event Record Type, because we use different record types for different meeting types. I know I could use some janky flow to set a record type based on the event subject, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Any guidance is appreciated, thank you.

We use SF Inbox with Outlook to log emails.   We have 2 users that when logging emails find they log to SEVERAL unrelated contacts and opportunities in addition to their selection.   It's random thus unable to replicate on demand for tech support.   We have presented several instances to tech support so not sure why they are unable to trace the activity on the back end.   Needless to say it's creating a mess of our SF environment.

Has anyone had this issue before? My addresses are changing through some auto process or trigger. It's also using one of my user's accounts and she did not do any of this, nor was she on salesforce at this time of day. It's also using other accounts in other scenarios. From what I can find, I have turned off all processes that involve address updates.

I have spent a long time trying to figure this out. Salesforce Support says it is past their scope because we use other integrations that could be causing the issue.

From observation, it appears that the entire address is being mapped into the mailing street. Then another auto process is trying to fix it, then it's triggering the first process again.

Here is one specific contact example:SOLVED: Address Auto Update IssueScreenshot 2024-01-24 at 10.18.10 AM.png

Here is another example that is similar but different. I have cleared this person's address to blank at least 5 times because she no longer lives here and we do not have her new address. It's like the address is being stored somewhere else and then the automated process is feeding it back in somehow? I have tried clearing from the contact level, the household level, and even completely deleting the related address in the contact. Still every time it is coming back.

I just learned that if you have WebEx Hybrid Services, which allows you to click a button to add a WebEx meeting to your Outlook meeting, then you can set the Location in your Availability Template to @WebEx, and it will auto-create your meeting in your WebEx personal room when they accept, and it will send out the details.

Using Inbox with Office 365. When Availability is selected, if the user has set Busy or OOTO for All day, using the All day checkbox,  the event appears as a bar across the top of the date. Inbox does not recognize this day as being unavailable and shows the entire day as free white space when selecting available meeting time.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to solve for it?

Inbox does not recognize time blocked in Outlook if All day is selected

Our users who have Inbox licenses and Inbox without Einstein Activity tracking permission sets assigned are struggling to log recurring meetings through the Chrome extension.   Has anyone solved how to do this?  Thanks for your input!

    Hi @Sebastian Sivertsen

Unfortunately, logging of recurring meetings/events from google are currently not supported with Salesforce Chrome extension.

    Thanks!

A user is trying to log into Salesforce Inbox from their Office365 email account

Need admin approval when trying to log into Saleforce Inbox?

and it is requesting "Need admin approval" after they input their email address and Windows credentials.  An additional  message link says either "Have admin account? Sign in with that account" or  "Return to the application with granting consent" .  Our users do not have admin accounts in Office365 so they can not get in.

what consent permissions Salesforce Inbox needs? each user has a license and the required permissions set on their user credentials in Salesforce.

Hi,

Doing some research and would like to know the thoughts of great experts here on Inbox and Eintein Activity Capture.

We are using Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture in our org. Now, with current business needs since we cannot track email activities due to the use of Einstein Activity Capture, we asked our IT support team to add the salesforce email in BCC of the users outlook.

With this we were able to track the number of emails sent by AE's in the reports. Now, the question arises, if there is still a need of Salesforce Inbox since we have configured SF emails in the bcc of the users?

We still wanted to keep the Einstein Activity Capture but do we still need Inbox app?

Our users donot use much of Inbox features except for 'Availabilty' and 'Templates'. What is most concerning point if we remove the Inbox app?

TIA for your thiughtful suggetsions.

Best,

Nimisha
