GR Volunteer a posé une question dans #Soft Credits
I have followed the instructions as specified in the - https://powerofus.force.com/s/article/NPSP-Soft-Credit-and-Matching-Gift-Setup#topic-7305

- at an account level

However, after I save the changes to the page layout, preview it and go back to the opportunity, I don't see the account roll-up fields appear.

What am I doing wrong ?

Hello,

We're experiencing an odd issue with Contact Soft Credit Rollups. The rollups are being calculated for a large number of contacts, but not all contacts; the latter group have $0 for their SC totals, despite being confirmed as a Soft Credit role associated with numerous Opps. Their Hard credits, if applicable, appear to be fine.

We have noticed that of the data we have reviewed, all of the Contacts where this issue is present are the same Contact Record Type. But, there are some contacts of this same record type that are rolling up.

Below is addl info:

- Customizable Rollups are enabled

- Filter Group for soft credits does have the role included

- We're certain that the contacts in question are listed as Soft Credit role on Opps

- I've manually triggered the Donations Batch in NPSP Settings

- We do have a large amount of data that is being processed (we're getting an error periodically, only on Contact Soft Credit batch --> System.LimitException: Too many query rows: 50001) *** On this, even though the batch says its complete, is it possible it's not reaching a large number of contacts before the error and therefor its never rolling those up?

Any suggestions are very appreciated! Thank you!

Is anyone aware of a conflict of some sort where Partial Soft Credits do not work properly when Customizable Rollups are enabled?

I have CRs enabled. And I'm having a situation where, if a Partial Soft Credit is present on an Opportunity, the Contact Soft Credit Rollups do not roll up properly. If I remove all instances of Partial Soft Credits, and leave only the full amount via Contact Role, the rollups for COntact Soft Credit work.

Thoughts?

    @Stephanie Leith

They work amazingly for my organization. Just make sure the Filter Group for Soft Credits is set up the way you need it to be and also that your Partial Soft Credit Roles are correctly labeled in the records. As Judi mentioned, if you have screenshots then I am sure the community can provide further assistance.

    Hi Nicole,

This may be due to not going in and giving yourself (if you are the Admin) visibility and access to the fields. When using Soft Credits and Partial Soft Credits there are certain fields you need to give yourself access to. Go in and check, however if you need help you can always go in, create a case, and support can help. To see how click on the link below:

If you create a case please let me know the case number.

    Thank you,

    Ryan

I created new profiles for our users, and our Fund Development user is getting an insufficient privileges error when she tries to Manage Soft Credits on an Opportunity. I set up the field accessibility according to what's listed in this article: https://powerofus.force.com/articles/Resource/NPSP-Soft-Credit-and-Matching-Gift-Setup#!#topic-7305

. She has CRED access to Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Account Soft Credits, Partial Soft Credits, Relationships, Affiliations, and Payments.

She is, however, able to create a new Account Soft Credit from an Account layout and Manage Contact Roles on the Opportunity.

Thanks!

    @Kylie Dayton

Is she getting the error when she clicks the Manage Soft Credit button, or upon Save?

Does she have access to the Visualforce page for the button? It's called PSC_ManageSoftCredits.

Is it possible to exclude opportunity records from inclusion in customizable rollups when said opportunity has a soft credit with a specific role associated?  I tried adding Contact Soft Credit Not in List <Role Names> to the filter group used for hard credit opportunity rollups, and there was no change.  Seems like the contact soft credit criteria is ignored.

Use case: I want to count opportunities without soft credits and then soft credits so that I can total an unduplicated dollar value of giving on a report, with an account level summary of giving for each org/household. Currently, if I sum across my rollups on a report, I double count all the soft credits once under the disbursing org account and once under the household.

My client receives bi-monthly checks from ABC Organization. The funds are from multiple employees who have these donations automatically deducted from their payroll. Is there a way (best practice) to input these soft credit opportunities with the organization being the influencer (OCR) and the donors (OCR) being the employees and managing them using an amount or percentage?

Hi All,

I have a client that's running NPSP in Lightning.

They want to make use of 'Soft Credits'.

Does anyone know if 'Soft Credits' are enabled within Lightning for NPSP?

Much appreciated,

Matt

Our organization gets donations from persons who give from both their households and businesses. For tax purposes, we keep their monies separate but when we are prospecting for advancement, we combine the totals of those accounts manually. Because we have multiple channels for transactions, this is something we need to automate. #NPSP #Soft Credits @Nonprofit Success Pack

I've been very interested in the conversation started by @Jodi Nemser-Abrahams re what happens to Opportunities when a marriage or divorce occurs (any chance there will be an article that spells out best practices around this?). Similarly, what happens when a business changes hands?

Let's say Dave Smith owns Seagull Inn. He is a business member and there are Opportunities associated with the Inn, and also personal ones from him. Then he sells the Inn to Roberta Jones. How do we make sure he gets the primary credit for all of Seagull Inn's donations before the business changed hands?

Using NPSP with Account model. Also: I haven't yet migrated Opportunities from our Legacy dB, so if there's anything I should know or do related to this, please advise. Thanks!

    Thanks @Trish Perkins

! It does seem unfortunate when we consider a Household to be two equal people that we have to give one of them less-than-equal credit for their Household support upon a divorce (though I do understand logistically that this would look like double the donation if we have it on both). Seems this is the very reason the non-primary person should receive Soft Credit, and then retain that Soft Credit on divorce. Is this what you are saying, that you use Soft Credits this way?

I was pleased to read "the nice thing about Household Soft Credits in the NPSP is that they happen automatically—you don’t have to set them." I made all of the Setup changes as suggested by

@Judi Sohn's article on the subject, and the article by @Jon Michael Varese

says Soft Credit (as well as Matched Donor) is among six out-of-the-box OCRs, though it's not in mine, and not available in Soft Credit Settings>Soft Credit Roles (same goes with any Matched Donor Role). I don't want to add new items to the picklist if they are already supposed to be there.

What I remain curious about is this: If Household Soft Credits happen automatically—and I see that they DO (hooray!) by testing it and running the Batch update—what is Opportunity Contact Role called "Soft Credit" (which, again, I don't have in my picklist) supposed to be for? Do OCRs dictate the behavior of rollups? My test behaved properly without changing the default OCRs.
