I am trying to deploy picklist value My Picklist Value

 from Dev org to QA environment but getting error in Jenkins validation: 

CustomObject  Activity            Error parsing file: Element {

[RecordType Activity.MyRecordType] Picklist value: A %2F B in picklist: My_Field__c not found

A / B is new value. In my PR the field is there and the field My_Field__c

 also have the new value. 

Does anyone have any idea?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has any guidelines or documentation on how to massively change the values of picklist values instead of doing it one by one.

I have a request to add about 300+ new picklist values into a custom field, inside a custom object. The problem is that the API Names of the new picklists to be added is different than their values.

Has anybody accomplished this in a simple way, without using Apex? (If possible).

Hello team, please can you help me with this?, I created a couple of new values in my picklist that its created in Contact but its shared with Account Object, the thing is that the new values are not showing in the available picklist values (this is a multiselect picklist value), I need to run job manually, it need to w8 to automatically run any job? I already verify it and the picklist values are enable to see from recordTypes. also I create the new values to shown/make available for any recordType.

When other is selected I need a text area to open for users to fill in.

Hi Trailblazers, 

I'm wondering how others handle user requests for many different custom picklists (and subsequent record types) for activities. We have several different sales teams - and each want their own customized picklist options - for logging tasks and events. 

According to our Optimizer report, we're still within best practices for the number of record types we have, but we're cautioned for having too many custom profiles with a low number of users in each. I don't know of any workarounds. As I understand it - for each object (where we want a custom picklist) we need a separate record type and profile to assign it to. 

I'm looking into reorganizing our role hierarchy and permission sets (moving to using permission set groups instead of custom profiles and individual permission sets). So, I'm looking to see if there's a better way to handle my custom picklist / custom profile issue. Any ideas (or validation of our current setup, lol) would be greatly appreciated.

Add or Edit Picklist Values

Creating a report with filters - of which one is a custom picklist.  Is there a way to have the custom picklist be a drop down on the report to choose one, or more values to filter on?  Currently it is not showing the picklist value, so I have to type in the item I am looking for and it only lets me choose one, not multiple.
