Hello - I enabled path settings for a custom object I created, but the chevrons are not appearing on the object. I only have one record type so I have already ruled that out as the problem. Any thoughts what it could be?

Thanks!

Hi Danielle - did you add the path to your lightning page and enable that page for your org, app, and profiles you want to see that path?

You can click edit page from the setup, then on the lightning page screen, drag and drog the path component into place.  Click save and then activation - choose to either set it as the org default (everyone) or specificlaly for app(s), record type(s), and profile(s).   When you go back to your custom object, it should appear on the page.

Hello!

I am trying to Make Certain Fields Required when Choosing Closed Won in the Path.

For example, I want the "Subscription Start Date" and "Subscription End Date" required if the revenue type is "Software" and the stage is "Closed Won".   I was able to do this in opportunity section but can't figure out how to do it in the Sales Path.  Our users have the ability to closed won an opp in the path or in the actual opportunity body.  Any ideas?

Thank you!

I updated the name of my Lead statuses in Salesforce but the Path button on my Lightning page still says the old title.  I see the name change in the Path settings and in the field on the page layout. How can I update the Path button to have the updated status name?

    Hi @Nicole Wolf

The "Converted" status in the path is a generic value, and will allow the user to select from any Status values that are set to "Converted" on the backend - so a user must first click "Converted" and then select which converted Stage to set the record to.

You can vote for the ability to customize this here: https://ideas.salesforce.com/s/idea/a0B8W00000GdkBXUAZ/set-sales-path-to-stage-name-instead-of-converted

Hi,

We have a lookup field on the layout and within the path. On the layout works properly and I can see the results from the lookup (in my case are contacts)but I've noticed that isn't working within the path?

Anyone knows if there is an issue with that 🤔?

Hope you can assist me.

Thanks in advance.

Ben.

Looking for ideas on how to build out a use case.  We are using opportunities to track donations in NPSP.  Nothing particularly unique with the opportunities.  They are of a type that specifies a name to memorialize on a tribute wall.  The Tribute name can receive donations from multiple Contacts, accounts, or Households.  When donations to that tribute name reach a threshold of $1000, then that name is triggered to be placed on the Tribute Wall at Level 1.  There are 5 levels.  I am thinking I need to build a custom object of "Memorial Wall".  The "Memorial Wall" records will have relationships to Opportunities and/or the Household Account or Organization Accounts that make the donations. The Memorial Wall record can/will have multiple opportunities associated to it. Then maybe use rollups to tally total donated amounts across opportunities.  Then automation to move the Memorial Record to the different levels as money is collected over time (Level 1, Level 2 etc. ) using a Sales Path. Does this sound like it will work in theory or does anyone have anything to add?  #Flow #Sales Path #Opportunities #Custom Object #Declarative Lookup Rollup Summaries

Hello,

I'm having 2 record types on the Opportunity, respective 2 Sales Processes, and respective 2 Sales Paths. Opportunity.Stage field is involved in both Sales Paths.

In both Sales Paths, the last instance is 'Closed' and after action: Mark Stage as Current, the pop-up window appears thereby Default and is marked 'Closed Won'.

If a user tries to change it to 'Closed Lost', the whole set of values defined in the Sales Path is shown. So technically, the user can revert it to some of the previous Stage values.

Hello, I'm having 2 record types on the Opportunity, respective 2 Sales Processes, and respective 2 Sales Paths. Opportunity.Stage field is involved in both Sales Paths.

I want to remove the previous values (Potential Interest, Offer Presentation, and Follow up) just from this pop-up window - not from the whole Sales Path!

So when a user wants to mark 'Closed' as the current Stage, only the 'Won Opportunity' and 'Lost Opportunity' are shown. (This is just a translation for 'Closed Won' and 'Closed Lost', respectively)

Is this possible to configure? So no code/screen flow are the options. I'm not developer and I should do it just by simple setup - if possible...

Thanks!

    Hi Daipayan,

Are you using record types by any chance? If yes, could you please try giving access of record type for which path has been created to Recruiter profile?

    Hope this helps!

Is it possible to edit the path for leads, that users will only see the details of a stage when they hover over it? I have some users complaining that it takes up too much space.

So just wondering if its possible to do this.

    Mark,

Am I wrong in saying that the little arrow to the left of the path will close the Guidance fields and text?

I have a specific account that I want to use a different opportunity page layout and sales path than my other accounts.  Since dynamic forms are not available for opportunities yet, I was thinking I could create an Opportunity Record Type for opportunities for this specific customer to accomplish this.  The only issue is that it will allow users to create that record type on other accounts as well.  Is there a way to make it so that Opportunity Record Type is only available for opportunities on a specific account?

    Hi Aaron,

You mean lets say you have account A and B. You are going to create 2 record types of opportunity say A and B.

Now if i create a opportunity of record type A then it will allow me to select account A only, likewise for B!!!

You can do this with the help of validation rule in order to select hard-coded accounts only for particular record type.

However this looks not a Good design of a system. I think this is a part of user training
