#Salesforce For iOS/Android0 debatiendo

I am the org admin and I created a test account to use in an environment we just set up, specifically for Salesforce iOS. However, every time I log in with the test account, I get the error pictured. It takes me through MFA, and the login is deemed successful on the admin side, but I am not actually able to access anything on the user side.

The app runs fine on my main account, so I'm not sure what the disconnect is. Does anyone have ideas on how to fix this (specific permissions that should be checked, or otherwise)?

HI Team,

I have question on Enable Mobile Tracking as mentioned in the following link:

https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.security_device_management.htm&type=5

I have a few questions and look forward to your answer:

1. Is the function I applied for only for mobile devices?

2.If the answer to the above question is yes, how can I get the device ID of the PC?

3.How users can access salesforce to enable us to obtain the device id?website?mobile lighting app?

Please suggest all the ways. Looking forward to your answer.

    Hi Raj,

I guess form factor work here? and based on mobile, desktop or tablet, you can do particular automation

The FORM_FACTOR can have below values based on the type of the device.

    • Large - If the device is a desktop.
    • Medium - If the device is a tablet.
    • Small - A phone client

    Refer this- https://www.forcetrails.com/2020/10/detect-device-form-factors-in-lwc.html

✨ Mobile SDK 10.1.1 is now available! ✨

Mobile SDK 10.1.1 release includes bug fixes, performance enhancements, feature additions, and updates.

 Feature Highlights

  • Mobile SDK 10.1.1 restores use of the Lock App After timeout setting from the org's Connected App settings for your mobile app. When set, the mobile app locks after it has been in the background for longer than the timeout period. Locking occurs when the mobile app is activated. Unlocking the app remains the same.

For more details, see release notes (ios and android).

Thanks for making this change. I figured out one important point involving this change. I'm posting here for anyone's benefit. Though it would be helpful if Salesforce would make this concept easier to understand. The PIN Length is obsolete and is completely ignored. However, Lock App After is largely ignored because it is nearly obsolete. The Lock App After setting has one remaining purpose. As long as any number is selected (instead of "None") for Lock App After, the device's biometrics (example: Face ID) or the device's Passcode will always be required to unlock the Salesforce mobile app. Therefore, any time the logged-in app is left (screen locked or went to a different app without quitting it) and then the user comes back to the app, biometrics/Passcode is required for unlocking.
