A Salesforce Certified Application Architecture Specialist assesses the architecture environment and requirements and designs solutions on the Force.com platform leveraging declarative solutions. The architect has experience communicating solutions and design tradeoffs to business stakeholders.

Agents have FLS for most fields on opportunity and we have something called SA1 records. Those are the records owned by 'System Admin 1' user. Agents can access those records from a related list. But we wanna restrict them to search for Opportunities with just email or phone. They should not be able to find say opportunities in a particular state or address from global search.

Hi @ATU PANDU Salesforce Global Search doesn't support restricting searches to only Email and Phone fields for specific users.

    A few options to consider:

    1. FLS: Remove access to State and Address fields if agents don't need them.
    2. Search Manager: Check whether unwanted fields can be excluded from search indexing.
    3. Search Layouts: These control which fields appear in results, not which fields can be searched.
    4. Custom LWC with Apex: Build a search component that allows agents to search Opportunities using only Email or Phone.

Since agents still need access to SA1 records, a custom LWC would be a good option.

Important: Custom search alone won't restrict standard Global Search. You'll also need to review field permissions and other available search paths.

    Hope this helps!

Bogged down by cumbersome user experience? Don't let technical debt disrupt your productivity. Technical debt can make it difficult to use applications and implement new features. Read our blog to learn how to keep technical debt at bay. Check out this blog post by our VP of Advisory Services, Srin Tangirala

Hello! I have a SalesForce Architect role in Rockville, MD. It is a direct hire role that offers 50% remote work to an experienced Architect or would offer the opportunity for a SalesForce Developer to be trained and brought into the Architect role.

Please give me a call at 703-729-0040 or reach me by email agrant@agensyscorp.com .

Summary of the Position:

The Application Architect is a critical IT position and is responsible for the Stakeholder Relationship Management System (SRMS) application architecture and development lifecycle process that translates business requirements into software systems, services and solutions on the salesforce.com platform.  The incumbent provides technical leadership and design expertise, drives the designs of all SRMS components on the salesforce.com platform including configuration, customization and implementation of applications and 3rd party integration.  The position will work with business stakeholders to define business and technical solution architectures to fulfill requirements, influence business leadership on decisions and drive ownership and acceptance of the provided solution.

@Matteo SalaWe are hard at work creating build materials (hand-on exercises: Chapter 2) for these domains: integration, data and dev life cycle along with a practice org for them! Those will be coming in December. For the remaining domains, we'll update as soon as we are plan in place (Please keep in mind our safe harbor statement :)
