Hello! I require help with my homework, and meeting the deadlines for all my academic papers is proving to be a challenge. If you know of a service like fastessay.com that can assist me, your advice would be highly appreciated!

I created a formula field to show the end time of a volunteer shift on the Volunteer Hours object (formula is below). It seems to be working okay, except that it is only calculating whole hours, when many of our shifts are listed as a duration of, say, 5.5 hours or 4.25 hours. It seems to be rounding up for anything above .5 and rounding down otherwise. Any idea how to make this formula work properly?

TIMEVALUE(GW_Volunteers__Shift_Start_Date_Time__c) + GW_Volunteers__Hours_Worked__c

New Experience Cloud (formerly known as Community Cloud) Licensing Structure for Nonprofits

TLDR (too long didn’t read!):

As part of our emerging release, we are excited to launch a new Experience Cloud licensing structure (also known as a SKU), available to nonprofit organizations today. Experience Cloud was formerly known as Community Cloud. This new licensing structure addresses many of the campaign and partner license type roadblocks that may have impacted organizations and their ease of use of Experience Cloud in the past.

The Long Version:

Whether you are working with donors, volunteers, clients, or recipients of your programs, these stakeholders expect the same type of experiences from your nonprofit as they do from the companies they engage with daily. Think about the healthcare portal you login to to get in touch with your doctor or how you access information from you bank. Nonprofits that make it super easy to engage with their organization retain more donors and volunteers, and make the service experience for program participants easy and engaging.

With Experience Cloud, you can create personalized experiences for your stakeholders that are secure, private to your organization only, and consistent with your nonprofit’s branding for one seamless experience.

Some examples of the types of experiences you can customize include a donor portal where a donor can login and view their giving history, update their contact information, and even donate quickly and securely without having to get in contact with the development officer. Fundraisers can share impact reports with donors and the board so they can understand where their gifts are being allocated and connect them with staff or other supporters with similar passions. A client can view their service action plan or a volunteer can access a how-to document as a part of their training.

Put your stakeholders in the driver seat, streamline self-service, and share proof of your mission’s impact with Experience Cloud.

Why a new licensing structure?

  • This new licensing structure allows access to objects and fields that are needed in common nonprofit use cases like opportunities, leads, and campaigns.
  • It ensures the new innovation coming out of Nonprofit Cloud is accessible through Experience Cloud. For example, being able to expose Nonprofit Cloud Case Management (new innovation that was released in April 2020) objects to constituents.
  • This lays the groundwork for future innovations with Experience Cloud!

When viewing the Shift Calendar there is a limit of 1000 campaigns in the dropdown list, we have over 2500 campaigns. Does anyone have any ideas on how we either may be able to increase this or split the calendar view into criteria. i.e. All our Volunteer Supervisor staff exist in Districts so if we could limit the campaign drop down to a district this would reduce the number of campaigns that would need to appear in the list.

    Hey Kannan,

Thanks for coming back and you are correct we are not able to modify the VF page. One of the developers on our project has looked at that already.

Hopefully someone in the tags can help.

Our non-profit has 800+ volunteers. My vision is to have login functionality for volunteers to update their info, check shifts they've registered for, cancel shifts, AND add shifts. From my understanding, the personal site offered through NPSP covers some of these functions, but not all.

What is the best way to implement? Would we need to purchase the Experience cloud?

Can you include reCAPTCHA or something similar in your sign-up forms to keep spammers from hammering away at your website?

HI there! I included the iframe on a website for the VolunteersSignUp FS, and the iframe is showing fine on the webpage. However, when I check it on an iPhone (portrait mode), the screen is cutting off the right side of the fields in my form. (However, it seems to be fine in mobile landscape & desktop mode.) I used this iframe code:

<iframe src="http://mycompany.force.com/GW_Volunteers__VolunteersSignupFS" frameborder="0" scrolling="false" height="600" width="500"></iframe>

Any thoughts on what parameters to tweak to fix this? Thanks so much!

In 2019, there was briefly talk of a new .org volunteer management product that was separate from V4S. I know this was shelved for 2020. But...it's now 2021. Has anyone heard whether this might be picked back up in the near future? Trying to get sense for what the future holds for V4S .

From what I understood it was shelve with no near future plans but can’t really confirm.

however I know some people are using PMM to somehow manage their volunteers, which may be an alternative. And there is a project to link PMM and V4S at the Community Sprints which might be of interest for you.

My client is hoping to sync volunteer hour records to an Outlook calendar, which is what they use to see a schedule of who is on-site on a particular day. I know there's the volunteer calendar with VfS, but they're specifically wondering about how to get those hour records to show up in Outlook. I think Zapier could be used, but wondering what else people have done!

How have volunteer managers created a training checklist for volunteers. I have a standard list of trainings for different volunteer toles. How have others done it on salesforce?

Hi @Denise Rene Hannah  - @Terry Cole's response accidentally made it to our community email but he writes "We use Quip and create an on boarding document for each person so they can sign off on it. This also has a side benefit of Creating a chat communication channel."

    I hope his response helps!
