The Modern CRM Challenge
Teams switch between Salesforce, email, and a dozen other tools every day, copying data, hunting for answers, piecing together information. By the time an employee has what they need for a customer call, they’ve already lost valuable time.
The answers they’re searching for exist somewhere. The problem is getting to them. Traditional keyword search returns a list of records. It can’t reason across your data, answer follow-ups, or take action on your behalf.
This isn’t a people problem. It’s a tooling problem. What if your CRM could think and act with you?
What Is Agentforce Coworker?
Agentforce Coworker is an autonomous AI teammate built directly into Salesforce Global CRM Search and is accessible in Salesforce Lightning, Salesforce Mobile, and more. It’s designed headless-first, meaning it isn’t tied to any single UI. It operates via APIs and meets your teams in the surfaces where they already work. And it can run inside other Salesforce apps behind the scenes. It works immediately with your CRM data, with no implementation or professional services required. And it can be enabled in Setup in just a few steps.
Once enabled, teams can search, ask questions, and take action in natural language, right from the search bar they already use and via the Ask button. Agentforce Coworker reasons across your data to give you answers, not just results, and acts by automatically routing requests to specialized AI agents. That’s what sets it apart from Einstein Search. Einstein Search only returns keyword-matched records. Agentforce Coworker understands your question and takes action on your behalf.

How Coworker Connects and Protects Your Data
Agentforce Coworker works out of the box with your existing Salesforce CRM data, similar to how global search functions. You can also expand what Agentforce Coworker can search by connecting additional data sources, such as Slack, Data 360, and Google Workspace. Regardless of which sources you enable, Agentforce Coworker never bypasses your security model. Sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and policies for Data 360 all apply.
Some sources use federated search, which pulls information from external systems at query time—no data ingestion or indexing is required. Google Workspace sources work this way (unless they have been ingested by Data 360)—when a user searches, Agentforce Coworker queries Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Calendar in real time and returns results alongside Salesforce data. Each user connects their own Google account, so results always reflect their individual access.
