Hi Trailblazers,

I’m looking at testing strategy for Agentforce implementations before production deployment.

Unlike traditional automation, an Agent can receive many different variations of the same user request and may choose different topics or actions depending on the conversation context.

How are you testing Agentforce in real projects?

Do you maintain a set of test utterances, negative scenarios, permission-based tests, action failure cases, and expected responses?

Also, how do you decide when an Agent is reliable enough to move from UAT to production?

Would appreciate any practical testing approaches or lessons learned.

    Hi @Santhosh Gorantala Good question!

Testing Agentforce before moving to production is very important because, unlike traditional automation, the same question can be asked in different ways, and the agent may select different subagents or actions.

I would recommend the following approach:

    1. Testing Center: Use Agentforce Testing Center to test multiple user questions and validate whether the correct subagent and actions are selected.
    2. Positive Scenarios: Test normal business scenarios with valid inputs and expected results.
    3. Negative Scenarios: Test invalid inputs, missing records, incomplete information, and questions outside the agent's scope.
    4. Permission Testing: Test with different user profiles and permission sets. Make sure the agent respects Salesforce security and doesn't expose restricted data.
    5. Action Failure Testing: Check how the agent responds when Apex, Flow, or external API actions fail, time out, or return empty results.
    6. Conversation Testing: Test follow-up questions, context switching, ambiguous requests, and multiple questions in the same conversation.
    7. Session Tracing: Review session traces to identify incorrect subagent selection, action execution issues, and response-generation problems.
    8. Regression Testing: Maintain a reusable set of test cases and run them whenever you modify agent instructions, subagents, actions, or grounding configurations.

When is an agent ready for production?

I would consider it ready when critical business scenarios pass consistently, security tests are successful, actions work reliably, and there are no unresolved high-severity issues.

I also recommend starting with a limited group of users in production and monitoring the agent's responses before rolling it out to everyone.

My suggestion: Don't test only whether the agent gives the correct answer. Also verify whether it selected the correct subagent, executed the right action, respected user permissions, and handled failures properly.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you,

    Venkat Yadav.

Okay, then the issue is an Email Deliverability Problem (I can't help with that).

The only hack/fix that I can think of would be to have it send to the other Email Address, and then create an Auto-Forward Rule

Hello, in our Production org I recently found metadata that shows it was last modified by one of our Community Guest User Profiles.  What permission is allowing this to happen and can we remove it?

i would look for custom code that is doing this...any custom visualforce pages or lightning components that the guest user is allowed to run...maybe there are triggers behind the scenes tied to some object updates that happen in the context of a guest user etc.

Hello, Trailblazers!

I deployed custom lightning pages from Dev to Partial.

Tried to deploy the same pages from Partial to an existing Community in Production.

The custom pages do not show up in Production.

I did try and publish, but got a message stating "no changes to publish".

One difference between Production and both Partial and Dev is that we have a custom url in Production which we cannot change.

Any ideas what is causing the pages to not show up in Production?

Thanks,

Caroline

Have anyone got problem with filtering on fiscal period returning calendar date results in production ? It's working fine in sandbox and quite certain working well in production as well until last Thursday night but suddenly stopped working.

PS :- fiscaloffset was not set in metadata but still it was working fine with filtering on fiscal period until last Thursday night.

    @Peter Lyons

    - We have ran upsert operation in test, it failed to overwrite schema with an error message saying metadata definition doesn't match.

that would be a great help. I look forward to your response.

    Thanks heaps :)

Hi Prashant, Thanks for helping out. A quick Question.

What is the main advantage of having a Domian. And what will be the effects if we create a domain in the production environment, and the pros & cons of deploying it in the production Org?

@Colby Kamin you are right. I used Prodly and Movers app to migrate, but, It looks like the document ids have been changed and had to add it back to the quote template. Thank you!

The succinct answer is NO. The Survey is stored as a series of records in Survey object and the Survey Question object. It is not stored as metadata, which could be deployed.

You could possibly export the Survey record and its child Survey Question records and then import those into a different org. The problem is that things like images, fonts, question order, question logic, are not exposed information. Currently you can only edit things like that in the Survey Builder app.
