Is Geofencing only available in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or does Service Cloud (or Community cloud etc) also have/support it?

    Hi @Raman Bhatia,

    • Geofencing is a feature that is primarily available in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. It allows marketers to target customers based on their physical location and send personalized messages or offers when they enter a specific geographic area.
    • Service Cloud and Community Cloud do not have native geofencing capabilities.

    Thanks

Hi, everyone. I am trying to connect with someone who has experience of using Mobile Push in Marketing Cloud and would be interested in scheduling a short meeting to discuss experiences with this feature. We have already set up this feature and are, therefore, interested in hearing about experiences with Mobile Push after go-live. Please reach out if this could be of interest.

MobilePush SDK: Important Forward-Compatibility Statement

In the January, 2020 Marketing Cloud MobilePush SDK release, support for older Android and iOS versions will be removed from the SDK.

- Android will require a minimum API version of 21.

- iOS will require a minimum deployment target of 10.0

Existing mobile applications will continue to function, without change.

Mobile applications may continue to reference older SDK versions, without change.

Applications which adopt the January, 2020 MobilePush SDK release may require a project change if your application build still supports an older value (Android: earlier than API 21, iOS: iOS 9).

Hey team!

I am working with an app team where the App has already been developed. They have noted they would not be able to add in the SDK for MobilePush from the Marketing Cloud.

Is there another way to control MobilePush messages without the use of the SDK in the app?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey guys,

Can I implement dynamic links with the use of the Opendirect feature if I have implemented the  Mobilepush SDK?

I want to send my users to a specific unique page within the app.

We have an b2b sales/commerce app and I want to send push notification reminder that will navigate them directly into a specific order.

Any advise?

Thanks

Tal

    @Azamat Abdullaev

    Thank you got the info.

Indeed personalisation is the issue here. If I understand correctly the personalized data needs to be in the DATA Extension in order for the amp script to work?

I am still not quite sure as how this will be handled with the opendirect link, is there any more documentation and case studies using this feature in opendirect?

Hi,

In Marketing Cloud SDK (IoS), it seems that when I'm sending Push+Inbox under the same message it add +2 to the badge count and not 1.

Does someone know if somehow we can count it as 1 message and not 2.

Thanks.
