Hi guys, as some of you are no doubt aware Salesforce is moving most of the FSC managed package to core. Will SFDC provide guidance or let us know what the plan is for moving this forward?

To be honest, it cannot be answered completely. One important thing is it is built on top of Sales Cloud. I am attaching below references to provide the complete details, benefits, usecases and its working. Somehow it is below and I found the Salesforce official blog a good resource:

    What is  Salesforce Health Cloud?

It is a specific, industry-focused customer relationship management (CRM) solution built by Salesforce. It is designed to modernize the way providers, payers, and life sciences companies manage patient and member relationships. It sits on the robust Salesforce Platform and offers specialized tools for care management, service, and patient engagement, using a flexible data model tailored for the complex workflows and regulatory needs of digital health.

    How does it work?

Health Cloud works by first connecting to and securely integrating all existing systems, such as EHRs, to gather and centralize patient data. It then organizes this data into a comprehensive patient profile, giving care teams a single, unified view of the person. This foundation allows the system to power key processes like automating care plan execution, managing service inquiries through a specialized service console, and providing real-time analytics to drive continuous improvement in connected care delivery.

We use the activities timeline on both Financial account pages and Account pages (Person, Household, Institution). On the financial account page, our activity timeline has one of our custom Task record types "Compliance Task" as an option to submit directly there. We do not have it on any other activity page on any other lightning page. I am trying to figure out why it is only showing there? I would like to have it be available option on all pages.

Customize Salesforce Lightning component for Activities Timeline

Hi Martin - the activity composer options (the tabs you 'submit directly' from in the timeline) don't come from the Activity Timeline component itself - they come from the page layout's 'Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions' for that object. So your 'Compliance Task' option shows on the Financial Account page because a custom quick action (a Create-a-Record > Task action defaulted to the Compliance Task record type) sits in that object's page-layout actions, and it's simply missing from the other objects' layouts.

To get it on the other pages:

    1. Find the action: Setup > Object Manager > Financial Account > Page Layouts > (the layout you use) > 'Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions' - locate the Compliance Task action and note whether it's a Global action or a Financial-Account-specific one.

    2. If it's a global quick action: add it to the 'Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions' section on the Account page layouts too - and remember Person, Household, and Institution are Account record types in FSC, so add it to each Account layout those record types use (check Page Layout Assignment).

    3. If it's an object-specific action on Financial Account: you can't reuse it on Account, so create an equivalent object-specific quick action on Account (New > Create a Record > Task, then default the record type to Compliance Task) and add that to those layouts.

    4. Confirm the Compliance Task record type is assigned to the relevant profiles - it clearly is where it works, but worth checking for the profiles hitting the other pages.

The mental model: the composer follows each object's page layout, and each object (and record type) can use a different layout - that's why it appears on one and not the others. Add the action to those layouts and it'll show everywhere.

    Hope that sorts it!

Subject / Title: FSC Digital Lending: How to prevent duplicate/redundant Tasks from being created during Stage transitions?

Question / Details:

Hi everyone,

We are using FSC Digital Lending (Stage Management) and noticing an issue with Task generation as a Loan Application moves through its lifecycle.

Every time the application transitions or re-enters a stage with configured Tasks, new duplicate Tasks are being created. Furthermore, previous/redundant Tasks remain in an Open state rather than being updated or closed automatically.

Questions:

  1. Is there an out-of-the-box configuration or flow setting in Stage Management to prevent Task duplication when moving between stages?
  2. What is the recommended best practice for handling open/redundant tasks when an application moves forward or steps back in the Stage pipeline?

Any insights on product behaviour or workaround patterns generally recomended by SF FSC (e.g., custom Flow checks, Task status automation) would be greatly appreciated!

We have regular bulk creations of tasks that are created on the financial account. We are trying to get the task to be on the financial account, but rollup to the household as well. I have confirmed all our standard rollup settings are marked to rollup objects and activities from the financial account to the person account and then to the household. But it is not working. Is there an automation or flow that is needed to make this happen?

Why aren't my tasks rolling up to the Household

HI @Martin Dahlquist If the standard rollup settings are already enabled, no additional Flow is normally required. Activity rollups only work when the task is related through the expected relationship (for ex : the Related To (WhatId) points to the Financial Account and the Financial Account is correctly linked to the Person Account and Household). If tasks are being created in bulk through automation or an integration, verify that the WhatId and related records are populated correctly. If everything is configured correctly and the rollup still doesn't occur, it may be a limitation of how the tasks are being created or a product-specific issue worth checking in the debug logs or with Salesforce Support.

I have a question about action plan tasks. When you use the action plan functionality it creates a task. How do you differentiate between "Normal" Tasks and action plan tasks?

This is mainly for reporting against action plan tasks vs non-action plan tasks and using it down the line.

    Hello,

There doesn't appear to be a standard or packaged field for these purposes.

However the Task Object does have a relationship to the Action Plan Item Object.

When a Task is created as a result of a Item a Record in this Object is created and the Task is stored in the ItemId field.

Therefore using a Record Triggered Flow on Task Creation (or something similar) you could search for a matching Action Plan Item. If one is found you can then take the necessary action for example checkbox = TRUE.

    Thanks, Tom

Hello, I am hoping there is an easy fix on this that I am not finding. I have been trying to update our Lightning page for tasks. In the Highlights Panel, there are Action buttons. We have actions for Log a Call and Follow Up. However, these actions are not showing up on the page when selected. Is there a reason why these action buttons can't be used on a task page? Are the action buttons object specific? Thank you.

Yes, I would create a screen flow that can be launched through an action button directly from the task record. Within the screen flow you have the choice to present the fields you need the advisor to fill out and can automate anything behind the scenes.

If the logged call is all that is needed from the advisor, the screen flow could also mark complete the initial task to save manual effort.

Our lending teams use Opportunity Management in a very simplistic way to capture pipeline and funding details. We are looking at transitioning a Commercial Loan process that currently resides in another system into Salesforce. It is your basic Commercial Loan Onboarding: guarantors, co borrowers, fees, conditions, collateral, etc. I see there are additional FSC objects like Financial Deal and I'm wondering if anyone is using Financial Deals in addition to Opportunities. I don't want to overcomplicate the process by introducing a new and separate object, but it seems that this object is part of the new FSC Data Model.

Ditto. I believe Financial Deal is the strongest fit when there's a requirement to collaborate/share sensitive data with participants.
