#Sales Cloud Einstein23 discutindo

Hi everyone,

We are using

Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) in Salesforce, and recently migrated our Microsoft 365 connection from Microsoft 365 EWS to Microsoft Graph.

We are facing an issue where some users cannot see the content of emails in the Activity Timeline. Instead, they see:

The issue occurs both on the Account and Contact Activity Timeline.

For example, one user (Jürgen Lange) has the same EAC configuration as another user (Patrick Lang), and both are connected using Microsoft Graph

I have already checked the following:

  •  Both users are connected through Microsoft Graph
  •  Both users use the same EAC configuration.
  •  The affected user's EAC sharing setting was changed from Don't Share → Share with Everyone
  •  I also repeated this for the other affected user.
  •  The emails are still showing as not shared
  •  The emails are visible on the Contact's Activity Timeline, but the content cannot be opened by other users.

Einstein Activity Capture – Emails showing “This email hasn’t been shared with you” despite Share with Everyone

We have set up the EAC using the Org-Level and test connection is successful. My questions are:

1. We have added the users in the Standard EAC Permission Set and under EAC Settings, is there a setting where users don't have to accept the Terms and Conditions for using EAC?

2. If there's no setting or workaround for the above, what would be the best explanation for that.

My assumption is since the users' mailbox are connected at org-level, they wouldn't have to go through the T&C and Activity Sharing screen when they login.

Thank you!

its a legal thing as to why salesforce requires it, there really is no way around it.

Hi Everyone,

We are using Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) in Salesforce,  users authenticate their Outlook accounts  from Salesforce.

I’m trying to identify which users have successfully connected/authenticated their Outlook. The goal is to build a report for users who have their Outlook connected.

I’ve explored a few options (including standard objects and APIs), but haven’t been able to find a reliable way to retrieve user-level connection status.

Has anyone implemented a solution for this?

  •  Is there any SOQL query or API that exposes this information?
  •  If not, what’s the best alternative approach to track/report on this?

Any guidance or best practices would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the new Einstein Activity Capture architecture.

From the Salesforce documentation, it is clear that emails are now stored as native Salesforce records (Task/EmailMessage) when Sync Email as Salesforce Activity is enabled. This feature is already available and enabled in our EAC configurations.  https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=005385951&type=1

However, I couldn't find a clear statement about Events.

In the past, Events captured by EAC were stored on the Activity Platform and were subject to the EAC data retention policy https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sales.aac_data_retention.htm&type=5

Are events now stored as standard Salesforce Event records on the Salesforce platform and retained like other Salesforce records?  Is there any official Salesforce documentation confirming this?

Thanks in advance!     @* Salesforce Einstein *

    Hey @Anhelina Charkas

Yes, events synced through Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) are now stored as standard Salesforce Event records on the Salesforce platform. This update is automatic and requires no action on your part. It ensures that event data is retained like other Salesforce records.

For more details, you can refer to the official Salesforce documentation: Event Data Is Now Stored on the Salesforce Platform.

In the Consumption Cards app I went into the Einstein Requests card. At the bottom I noticed it says "Sandbox". Does that mean the analytics are all based on our sandbox? If so, where do I view our Production consumption? We currently use Einstein Opportunity Scoring and will be enabling more features before the end of the year.

Where do I find Production consumption for Einstein Requests?

The "Sandbox" label in the Einstein Requests card of the Consumption Cards app indicates that the analytics displayed are based on your sandbox environment. To view your Production consumption, you need to access the Production environment.

Here’s how you can check your Production consumption:

    • Use the Digital Wallet in your Production environment. The Consumption Cards in Digital Wallet display usage for both Production and Sandbox environments.
    • Look for the "Environment Type" field in the Consumption Analytics dashboard to filter data by Production or Sandbox.

For more details, refer to the Salesforce documentation: Data 360: How to review your Sandbox Consumption in Digital Wallet.

I'm facing an issue with Einstein Activity Capture and would appreciate any guidance.

Current setup:

  •  Salesforce org is configured with Google (Gmail)
  •  Einstein Activity Capture configuration is created and Active
  •  The required Einstein Activity Capture permission set has been assigned to both the System Administrator and another test user.
  •  The Gmail account has been successfully connected under Connected Accounts (Email and Calendar are both connected).
  •  The connected account status shows Connected
  •  The Last Updated timestamp keeps updating.
  •  The configuration is assigned to the connected user.

However, even after more than 24 hours, the Connection Status still shows:

No emails or calendar events are being synchronized.

Additional Information:

  •  The Salesforce org is accessed using a System Administrator user.
  •  It is a sandbox org

    1. Confirm the Salesforce User email = Gmail connected account email (exact match)

    2. Disconnect and fully re-onboard the connected account (remove → reconnect from scratch)

    3. Check EAC Configuration — confirm the user is assigned, sync directions are set for both Email and Calendar

    4. Verify Excluded Addresses in EAC settings don't include any relevant domains

    5. Check if "Sync Email as Activity" is enabled — newer orgs may need this toggle on (introduced July 2025)

    6. If the above fail, test in a production or Developer Edition org to rule out sandbox limitations

We are planing to migrate from Lightning Sync to Einstein Activity Capture.  Is it possible to have some pilot users on EAC but everyone else still omn Lightning Sync ? If yes, how to do it ?  The goal is to test EAC for small group of users before rolling out EAC to everyone.

Hi @Simeon Tzanev  Yes, this is supported. You can enable Einstein Activity Capture only for a pilot group by assigning them the appropriate EAC permission set and adding them to the EAC configuration, while the remaining users continue using Lightning Sync. This lets you validate the setup with a small group before migrating everyone. Just avoid having the same users enabled for both Lightning Sync and EAC at the same time, as they shouldn't run concurrently for a single user.

Hello,

I am currently testing Einstein Activity Capture and have run into two issues.

To provide some context: I synchronized my Outlook mailbox with my Salesforce account (using the same email address) and created an event in Outlook that successfully synced to Salesforce. I subsequently deleted the event from Outlook, but it still appears in Salesforce. How can I ensure it is also deleted from Salesforce?

Secondly, all my Outlook events are syncing to my Salesforce calendar. I only want to sync events where the recipient's address matches an address in Salesforce (Lead, Contact, or Account). How do I configure this setting?

Thanks!

Hi #AwesomeAdmins

I have turned on EAC for the first time in my developer sandbox and I can see test emails and events are syncing. My question for you is this: If an email doesn't sync the first time for some reason, how can it be resynced? Is there a manual way to sync an email if there was a problem the first time it came in to the inbox?

@Laura Jackson Oh I see. I use outlook so a tool like the Salesforce connector for outlook may be helpful for your case: Salesforce

You users can manually select which emails to connect in Salesforce this way.

Hi all!    We've been using the Einstein data-driven attribution model to capture campaign influence from our activities. This works great for us usually because it associates a nurtured journey to second named contacts at the same account who actually have the opportunity attached.    Today I noticed that a campaign with one form and no completions had received campaign influence because of a form view. We already exclude email opens by way of attaching these to an excluded campaign, but ideally we don't want to do the same for forms.    Am I missing something? Is there a way to exclude particular activity types from creating campaign influence records? I'm already filtering the auto-association settings by saying the member status must be Responded and the first associated date cannot be blank, but records are still showing in our reporting.    I've looked at filtering this on the reporting level too, but since Campaign Influence to Campaign to Campaign Member is a many to one to many relationship, this hasn't been done. It seems as though the next option is to develop a custom Ajax procedure to create the fields to exclude this.    Has anyone found a simpler way? Is there something I'm missing?    Cheers all,  Alex
